February 21, 2021 | Gregory Howard Mann - LISBON, ME -- United States

Losing a PARENT is one of the most PAINFULL things a CHILD can EXPERIENCE. When it is your LAST PARENT it can be even more PAINFULL, as now the person you LOVED & LOOKED UP TO IS GONE FOREVER. Take HEART in the LOVE YOUR MOM HAD FOR YOU AND YOU FOR HER! REMBER the GOOD TIMES and ALWAYS REMEMBER that the BETTER PART OF HER, SHE PASSED ON TO YOU AND YOUR SIBLINGS!! I knew MRS. Huston only in passing as we both attended the same CHURCH. I also knew her Husband but again only in passing. What I saw of them and in them, made me like them both. Now they have been REUNITED and we must let them go. We will see them again but until then, REMEMBER THE GIFTS THEY GAVE YOU THAT WERE NEVER BOUGHT, SUCH AS THE GIFT OF TIME, AN EAR TO LISTEN, A KIND WORD WHEN YOU WERE FEELING SAD OR THE HAPPY SURPRISE OF SOMETHING YOU COULD NOT AFFORD BUT SHE GOT FOR YOU!! HER LOVE FOR YOU WILL NEVER DIE, JUST AS YOUR LOVE FOR HER WILL NEVER DIE EITHER!!

Lee, Ron and family,
May your mom rest peacefully knowing the love for her family. She like my older sister, Lois spent years with the horrible decease. It is like losing them twice. Hang on to all the beautiful memories and know she is back with the love of her life

February 12, 2021 | Wendy (Marquis) Roper - Gilford, NH -- USA

To the Huston Family,

I'm so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. My Mom and Dad would often tell stories of the early courtship years of your Dad and Mom during the cottage days in Harpswell. I also recall a visit I had with them a number of years back when your Mom shared so many wonderful photos of those days and others. She was so gracious and kind after Dad passed.
Although we are no longer in touch I do often think of my Lisbon Falls days, and days with Lee at the U of Me. You are all in my hearts.
With Respect,
Wendy

February 11, 2021 | Merton Robinson - North Attleboro, Massachusetts -- USA

My sincerest sympathy to all the family. I was privileged to have been a classmate of Jeanne's. She was truly an outstanding individual. I can understand the loss you all are experiencing. May your many fond memories of Jeanne be forever with you.

February 11, 2021 | Claire Breton - Lewiston, ME -- United States

I met Jeanne when she started working with me at the Lisbon Post Office, along with Jean Caron and Connie Doboga as our Postmaster. She & I had a lot in common, especially our children who were going through school together. In spite of her arthritis, she was always a hard working, friendly, helpful and unbelievably courageous lady. My condolences to all the family on your loss, but how fortunate you all were to have had such a beautiful person in your lives.

February 11, 2021 | Conrad Davis - Lisbon, Androscoggin -- United States

Dear Cathy, Anne, Ron, and Lee:

I was very very saddened to read the Lewiston paper this morning and see that your Mom passed. What an absolute wonderful couple her and George made. We are all blessed to have the parents that we did. Interesting as it may be, our families have shared many similarities when it came to family values and wholesomeness.

Although they have left this mortal world, the impact that they have had on us and our families will live on forever with us and through us.

Love and Blessings to you all.

Conrad and the Davis Family
