So sorry to hear of Nelson's passing. I have a wonderful memory of meeting Nelson and Mary after skiing on Lake Auburn with Deb. Nelson tilled our original gardens on our property here in Auburn. He was a kind man and his passing is a great loss.

November 3, 2012 | Donna Hodgman Langlois - New Gloucester, Maine -- Cumberland

Nelson was the best man at my parents wedding.
That was in 1954.
My Dad and I went to visit Nelson in Auburn.
Nelson and my, Dad, Ken Hodgman, and his
daughter,"Wella" looked at old photo's. It
was so nice to see Nelson and my Dad, Ken ,
remembering who was who in those photo's.

I have to say that " Wella " you are
an Angel.. that every Dad deserves.
Love to you and your family... Donna
Hodgman

November 2, 2012 | John Bragdon - Rome, NY -- USA

My deepest sympathy and prayers to Debbie, Rick, And Louella. I will fondly remember the days spent at the house in New Glouster. The family outings with lobster and corn on the cob. I will always remember Uncle Nelson as a smart, caring and gentile person who was always there when people were in need. I also remember a number of cold weekends at Lost Valley and the comfort or the down filled bed and warm house. These are but a few of the many memories I have and will carry with me. I wish I could be there in person, but I am recovering from surgery. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless You all.

November 2, 2012 | Allen Bragdon - casco, Me -- USA

Memories of my Uncle Nelson will always be with me. Weekend outings at the family camp on sabbathday lake , fishing at lake Auburn trying to catch the "Big One". Sharing truck driving stories over the years when he worked for Mobil Oil. He had an impact on people in his life and that will always be remembered.

November 1, 2012 | Judy Johnson - Auburn, Maine -- Androscoggin

I was deeply saddened to read of Nelson's passing. Nelson was a wonderful neighbor and we often shared a laugh or two together. I knew I could always count on Nelson to help me out with things like retrieving a mouse from the basement of my house, or a snake that had lost its way and had ended up in the basement of my old home. One time Nelson rescued me from a chipmunk that had somehow made its way into my kitchen. He told me that my home seemed to attract wild life. He was always willing to help those in need and did it gladly. He was a fine human being and I will miss him. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
