Although Diane got more accomplished in a day than most humans, she always had time for a friend. She never seemed rushed. She often just reached out to check on me at work, happy to share a story or a new recipe. She amazed me with her spirit and work ethic and generosity. My heart is with her family. I know she is deeply, deeply missed. I feel lucky to have known her.

Diane, you were an AMAZING friend and colleague. Sooo much energy and zest for life. I cannot believe that in the short 2 years that I knew you, you were engaged in this struggle. Truly you have left a light that will long endure in the hearts and souls of all you've left behind. May God bless your family and they move forward without you and may they take comfort in your enduring faith and presence as you watch over them in heaven.

Thank you Diane for your friendship

April 29, 2021 | Elayn Martin-Gay - Slidell, LA -- USA

I had the privilege of meeting and working with Diane at Pearson. Of course, this means that over the years, we became friends and I learned what a wonderful, special person I was in the presence of. We laughed, we worked, we ate too much guacamole, and we had plans for presentations in the future. Everyone that she came in contact with at Pearson respected her greatly and she will be missed dearly.
We can shed tears that she is gone, or we can smile because she lived and we were blessed to know her. I think it is obvious what Diane would want.
Blessings and prayers to Diane's family. We will see her again one day.

April 28, 2021 | Joanne Spilman - Pennsburg, PA -- United States

I am thankful for having known Diane. She was our homeschool evaluator in PA for many, many years. A delightful Christian woman who loved everyone she would meet. I have followed her journey in her blog where she shared her deep faith in God. I prayed and prayed for her earthly healing from cancer, but God chose to call her by His side.
My own faith is strengthened by her example. Through everything . . . the pain and disappointment of a returning cancer despite many drugs and various treatments, Diane showed genuine emotions and a deep trust in God.
I will miss her.

I remember Diane so well , both as a student and as a adjunct teacher, at Penn State Fogelsville Campus.

My condolences to her husband and children as well as to her many friends and colleagues.

April 28, 2021 | Dixie Becker - Denver , Pa -- Usa

Bless you and celebrating your well-lived life. You no longer have pain. You are free from earthly suffering.
We joined Alsace community chapel together. You harbored me and Dan to keep us safe-saving our lives. I had the privilege of working with and trying to keep up with your math genius.

Our song between us was. You have a friend in me.

We all will ever be changed by you.

Bless you. Dixie Becker

It was my honor to work with and learn from Diane. She was always upbeat, caring, and so helpful. I wish we'd had more time together. Thanks for sharing her with us. It was a gift to know her.

My sincerest condolences. Diane was a colleague of mine. While I only knew Diane as a professional I could certainly say that she was patient, kind, helpful, and supportive. I'm lucky to have known Diane in my circle of life, as she had many qualities I would like emulate both in and out of my work-life. Thoughts and prayers for her family.

April 26, 2021 | Dana Wands - Sidney, ME -- United States of America

My deepest and most sincere condolences to her family and friends. I did not know her very well, but I had the pleasure of working with her at UMA. I never had the chance to meet her in person but we corresponded quite often through email. The word I always used to describe her was "kind". Talking with Diane was always a treasured moment, especially when we had a chance to learn interesting facts about each other. I will miss her dearly as she was one of the faculty I enjoyed talking with the most. I am keeping the family and friends of Diane in my thoughts and prayers. May the love and support of each other ease your burdened hearts.

April 26, 2021 | Tanja Eise - Wynantskill, New York -- United States

I really enjoyed working with Diane. She listened empathetically, cared deeply about students and instructors, and could always be counted on to teach us all something new. She will be sorely missed at Pearson and I'm so very sorry for your loss.

April 26, 2021 | Jacque Gaines - Fort Worth, Texas -- USA

I love Diane so much. We used to start our emails with what is up BFF :) She would always share random pics of Maine and her children with me. I have the best memories of the sweetest person. Her brain was almost as big as her heart too. She definitely was a kind wizard. She will be deeply missed. Prayers to all of your family.
