I want to express my deepest sympathy to the Hadden family on Betty's death. The Metz family rented the Hadden house on CLiff for the first time the Hadden's had ever rented it. Betty trusted me and thank good ness she did because we have wonderful memories of our stay on Cliff in the Hadden house.

I missed seeing Betty on the Island this summer and am very sad to know that she won't be back.
I will be in touch directly. I just wanted you all to know that I was thinking of you and am sad to lose such a positive, modest and accomplished woman. She was very special.

We have the best of memories from Betty's era at the Bath Apprenticeshop and from more recent years as 'next-town-over' neighbors in passing.
Her positive outlook was always contagious. Finest kind, she was.
Never knew about the equestrian career! Amazing!
