July 10, 2014 | Jeannie Wolkens - Topsham, Maine -- United States

It has been almost a month since Mom left earth to move into her "mansion just over the hilltop". I still can't believe she left us so soon. I'm doing better than I thought I would, but that is thanks to the incredible parenting I had from she and Dad. They brought me up teaching me how to keep going when the going gets rough and best of all, brought me up with faith that assures me I will get to someday spend eternity with her in Heaven.

People say, "I'm sorry you lost your mom". I didn't lose her. Losing something means you don't know where it is. I know EXACTLY where mom is. She is enjoying the rewards of Heaven she worked so hard for here on earth. Faith saved her...not works, but we are rewarded in Heaven for our works. Hers are many.

I love and miss you, Mom. Can't wait to see you soon.

Nancy will forever remain in my heart and mind as a truly devoted wife and mother. She helped her husband, "Pastor Keith" at the church and I am especially appreciative of a long talk she and I had in the nursery of the church, long ago. She helped me get my priorities in order and to "be patient in God's time" although it has been a long time since I have seen her, we have talked on the phone. I will truly miss her guidance and love in my life. God bless you, Nancy...enjoy your heavenly mansion!

Dear Keith and Family,

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel about the loss of Nancy. Nancy was a wonderful woman with a kind heart. She was a great friend to Rena and Bob and now they can all be together with the lord. Our hearts and prayers go out to you, Keith and the entire family. May your hearts and souls find peace during this difficult time.

To all who will read this. Nancy gave me almost 48 years as my devoted wife. But, more than that, she was my best friend. She loved me unconditionally. I promised her I would continue and I intend to honor that promise even though I will be lonely without her. If you hope to see her again one day, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
This is her hope for all she knew.
I will join you one day Nancy, in the Lord's timing. Thank you my darling for the wonderful life we had together. It shall always be in my thoughts. Til we meet at the Golden Throne of our Saviour. I have and always will love you.

I mourn the passing of a wonderful woman -- a great sister to my wife, a loving mother, grandmother and wife, and a good friend. I am thankful for the pleasure of knowing her. While our hearts ache at the loss of her company, we must take solace in the fact that her days of physical suffering are over. She may be gone from this world, but she has left many marks that means she will never be forgotten -- ever.
