Memories of Gwennie and Gene go back as far as I can remember of my childhood. We Meroff kids grew up with the Duttons, and we shared so much joy during summers at the island. How we laughed at the endless games of Scrabble played by our moms on the porch. When my mom and then dad went to heaven, my link with Gwennie became even more important and precious. She was like a second mom. I always admired her hymn playing, crafts and cooking so much. I will miss her and Gene as I miss my own mom and dad, until we are all together again in heaven.I wonder if they play Scrabble in heaven?

Gwennie and Gene played a huge part of my growing up, along with my brother and sister. I remember Gwennie's wonderful laugh, her sense of humor, her genuine love for our family. She and Gene was best of friends with my parents, playing hours of very competitive games of Scrabble with my mom. Thanks to Gwennie and husband Gene, we were able to spend many happy years on Little Yarmouth, now some of my favorite memories. I want to thank her children for sharing their parents with me....bless you as you live your memories.
