I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. Although she lived a short life, it was wonderful she could fulfill her dreams and win all those racing trophies. God be with you and know that we will be all together again some day. We will miss that smiling face.

Rachel was a person who you could easily talk to and confide in. Your friendship is very valuable to me. I can not even write these words with out tears streaming down my face. Rach, I will miss you for the rest of my life. It was an instant connection... No one would call us inseparable, and sometimes we went far too long without seeing each other, but it was a friendship I knew would stand the tests of time. You were an old soul with a child's zest for life- an increasingly rare combination in this world. I can't thank you enough for all you brought into my life.

Rachel you were and are one of the most courageous and determined young ladies I ever knew. When your Grandmother (Sylvia) used to tell me that you were racing and winning, it just blew my mind. I would always say, "You go girl". I was so proud to hear that you were not letting that CF get the best of you, you were living your life to the fullest. I am hoping that what I have told my nephew and his wife about you has helped them allow their daughter to do what she wants in life. I do believe that you have, she is playing volleyball and softball and all those wonderful high school things. So you have helped one family! Love you girl and enjoy that better place. Oh yes, I still give your grandmother Sylvia a hard time. It is part of life. Love is what it is. I have enjoyed your Mom and grandmother being here over the last few weeks. Rachel didn't aspire to be rich or famous, She had her family and friends, She knew that was all she needed to be happy. She only wanted to be the very best version of herself she could be, never more.She was born with limits from those imperfect lungs but she pushed those lungs to the last breath, not wanting them to change her dreams in life . Yes, darn it such a short time ago she was racing around a track winning trophies... take that CF....She was so good at it too. She put family first.Maya Angelou once said “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” She sure took my breath away with her spirit.Rest with the angels sweet girl.Your light still shines in our hearts.

Rachel would always go out of Her way to say hi to Me when I didn't know She was there. It seemed She was always smiling God bless Her.
I still have the photo of Her and Jeff Gordon together at Atlanta it meant so much to Janet when She gave it to Her.

My heart felt sorrows go out to the entire family. May God fill your hearts and minds with all the amazing fun filled memories that you shared with Rachel over the years. May you be blessed with the strength you need to heal your hurting minds and hearts as you comfort one another in this very trying time. Though I haven't seen Rachel in years, as I sit saddened by the news of her passing, I reach into my memories of her and I'm taken back to her running around the yard as a little girl with a big beautiful smile and wonderful long blond hair and not a care in the world. She's one of God's angels now, for her work here is done and she's free from all evil and pain to do as she wishes. You were amazingly strong in so many ways and you left us with memories that are the same.

Hey kiddo,
We are going to truly miss you. Your zest for life despite all of it's setbacks is truly inspiring. You fought the tough fight and gave it your all and always with a smile and those twinkly eyes. Even when attached to an oxygen tank you were one of the best young people I have ever had work for me. You looked after me and my business like you were one of the family, and I will always think of you as one of the family. Miss you greatly!!
I pray that you may now finally rest peacefully without hacking up a lung.

PS whenever Rachel came into the store she always spoke to me and addressed me with the simple "hey Boss" and my response was always "Hey Kiddo"

To the family and friends of this young vibrant spirit.
I didn't know Rachel personally but know people who did. She touched many people with her courage and that smile. I always gave whenever I saw the collection jars at stores . I'm awful sorry about the cards she was dealt . Sometimes life doesn't seem fair . But it's fair to say she sure lived with love around her . My sincere condolences go out to all who feel the loss.
