Dale was a colleague at UNUM, fellow resident of Cumberland and what I would affectionately call "the genuine article." Friendly. Gregarious. Smart. Intense wit! Passionate. Saddened as I write this note, he was one of many of my former Union Mutual and UNUM colleagues who have left this earth too soon (but, no doubt, is a welcome addition in Heaven, and was called Home).

My condolences to the Family.
Dale was a dear friend and will be greatly missed. We had a lot of serious political discussions as well as a lot of laughs. I feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with Dale in my life.He was the only Democrat I ever voted for :)
Rest in Peace Dale.

Diane and family, please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Dale. He was such an amazing friend and I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to have known him.
He will be missed by so many and it's really hard to believe that we won't hear that laugh or get those big hugs anymore. Or hear him say "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD".
Let us all keep his memory alive by living life to its fullest, being honest and always standing up for what you believe in.
Love and strength to the family -
Beth

Our sincere sympathy to Dale's family. We are neighbors who enjoyed seeing Dale on our morning walks. We are thankful to him for all he did in the Legislature on behalf of Cumberland

I will miss Dale. He was fun to be with. He had a quick wit and a sharp mind. I loved lively discussions with him whether we agreed or disagreed about some issue. He was very smart and was pretty street wise. He always “told it like it is”. He had compassion for people and spent much of his life trying to create opportunities for people to have better lives. It is a sad sad day to lose my friend. It is a sad sad day for the world to lose a man like this.
