We visited Aunt Barb last fall when she said Rick is at a reunion at Ferry Beach and we could be too. However, we were headed for our old sailboat and recalling Paul on our boat with us one weekend. My first memories of Aunt Barb include seeing a TV for the first time, playing with building blocks with Mark and my first experience with an ice cream truck.
I cried telling my A&W boss I had accepted a job at Ferry Beach that Barb helped me acquire. But I have loved the beach ever since. And that's where I met Steve. We will be married 50 years in June, 2017. Thanks Aunt Barb for a wonderful life!

Barb has been a cornerstone of my life. My first visit with her away from home. The airflight home. Three loving sons, my little cousins. Camping and babysitting them at Fairy Beach. Calls and visits over a life time. Reading her wonderful stories. Her love of writing and encouraging others to write as well. (Would love a copy of her articles and stories). She will never be gone while we have her living in our hearts and memories.

I will always remember Barbra from Ferry Beach. For it was there I first met the DeWolf family. The whole family was involved with some sort of activity at Ferry Beach. Her tireless devotion to other people struck me at an early age. She was always helping, doing, or thinking of something to make a difference in other people's lives. I know she touched mine and I will always be ever so grateful.
Barbara will be remembered by countless people she touched along the wonderful journey that she enjoyed immensely along the way.....

Know that our thoughts and love are with you. I didn't know Barbara, but I know that Rick is a wonderful man, in general and with my sister. Barbara must have had everything to do with that.

So sorry to hear of Barbara's death--having known her since the mid-1980s, it is like losing a member of the family. I lived in Toronto at that time, and was friends with Mark; active in UU churches, Bill was my IDR. Barbara was the glue for the family, and incredible in her own right. So sorry to see this generation gone.
