I miss our morning talks on the phone while walking my dog. I miss hearing the lilt in your voice as you tell me a funny story or memory.

I’m incredibly grateful for the time we spent together in 2021. Cherished memories of morning chats at the breakfast table and watching The Last Tango in Halifax while eating pie before bed.

It’s a hard thing for a “little girl” to see her strong and powerful, always busy Dad become frail and vulnerable. But I am honored that you allowed me to share this with you. Be assured that your faith, wisdom and calmness helped me to accept the inevitable.

Love you My Old Dad. Hope your enjoying your new adventures.

To John,
our family is so grateful for the many years of love, kindness, and devotion you gave to our mother and grandmother, Martha.
We will all miss you.

My sincerely condolence's to The Davidson's Family and Friends. John was well liked by so many people. I remember when I use to see him at lunch time at Fairchild's. Or we would pass in the hall. He will sadly be missed. RIP John Sr. Your at home now.

December 15, 2021 | Karlene Additon-Strout - Waterville, ME -- United States

To John's family. We loved him as our neighbor and marveled at all he could do. There were days when he worked outside in the yard, tinkering on an engine of some kind, and we could hear him whistling . All happy tunes so we knew he was content.
He was wise in so many things because he was so well read. He would stop by and give me gardening tips, or how to make the lawn look better in a non chemical way. I treasured his wisdom and will miss his advice.
All the neighbors loved watching him and Martha walking hand in hand down the street when she was able. As a couple they showed us all true love. It was a joy to witness.
John was what one would say is a "Good Man." He was quiet, unassuming, and caring. Our sincere condolences on his passing. Karlene and Rick Strout

John,
My neighbor, my friend. It is with a heavy heart that I type this rememberance of you. I have been so blessed to have gotten to know you and had you in my life. I will miss seeing what project of the day you have planned, hearing your whistle as you work, but most of all the comfort of seeing the light in the window of your house across the street. Goodbye till we meet again.

Thank you Mr Davidson, Beth’s Dad, for being so nice to me when I was a kid visiting your home. I thought you were a totally cool dad. You served me my first ever grits. I was suspicious at first wanting to know what they would taste like. You said “They taste like whatever you put on them.” I remember that with a smile every time I cook grits!

You will be surely be very missed by all your family and friends.

I have a few memories of visiting my Grandpa John as a child at his house and I will always treasure how special it was to have all four of my grandparents travel to be at my wedding. He always had such a bright smile and warm presence. He’ll be missed so much.

John was a kind man. My memories include taking time to explain to a young know-it-all motorcyclist the concept of counter steering, and traveling to Illinois to participate in his grand daughter's wedding. We will miss him.

You will be missed so much Dad, I have a memory but a funny one. Went up to visits it you and Martha and you provided us lunch, it was a tofu hotdog. Very different, not my favorite, but I can now say I have eaten tofu. You are a amazing man and I am sure you will be surrounded by some amazing people on the other side. With love and hugs Kathy.
