I am very sorry for your loss but know she touched my life when she lived on Granite Street. I would visit her daily and she was always so kind and welcomed me in her home as she did housework. I would help and her smile was filled with love that has never left my memories. Truthfully, I was sad when your parents moved to West Auburn but too young to understand that she just found a bigger home. There are always a few people who enter our lives for a moment but their impact leaves a permanent impression. This is what Elaine did for me and the memories of being with her has never faded. I am very grateful for her and how she touched a little girl’s heart.

Kellie, myself, and the Cloutier family give our deepest sympathies to the families of Elaine Currie. I met her thru friend Scott, as well as my mom Jeannine who worked with her, I think at Kings or Zayres. She had a sharp wit about her, which I noticed Scott got from her.

One story I like to share is the time she told my mom about Scott and I going to the mica mine on Mount Appetite. My mom apparently was trying to keep it a secret from me because my dad had gone there as a kid and she knew it was dangerous, so she made my dad promise to keep quiet. They're just chatting and my mom said how I didn't know about it, and Elaine says "Oh they know about it, they've even been there." My mom freaked out and couldn't believe it!

I was so saddened to see that Elaine had passed away. I worked with her at Kings in the late 70's/early 80's. She was the most wonderful woman. My condolences to her family.
