December 12, 2015 | Charlie & Anita Chapman - Auburn, Me -- USA

Our heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Charlie had the privilege and pleasure to be associated with Normand through the different fires they fought. In recent years we both have had the great opportunity to enjoy Ellie & Normand's company.
He is not far from our hearts and minds.

December 10, 2015 | Jack Bailey - Zephyrhills, Florida -- United States

Dear Ellie and Family,
So sorry to learn of Norm's passing. My condolences to you all.

I always enjoyed and was even excited to be in Norm's company as we traveled to Ski Jumping meets around New England and beyond. Norm always gave me encouragement and great advice on how to improve my Ski Jumping skills. He was a real gentleman.

Thank you Norm, rest in peace.

December 9, 2015 | Peter Mador - Biddeford, Maine -- USA

To all the Cummings Family,

The Mador’s (Peter & Susan and Jacqueline & Kaitlin) wish to extend our deepest condolences on the loss of Norm.

Norm was always very kind and friendly to all of us growing up. He was a good friend to our Dad and Mom. Norm was a big supporter of the Auburn PD and FD.

One short story I would like to share is the following:

In 1991 my sister Joanne passed away. Norm did her the honor of being a pallbearer. I remember standing behind the casket as it entered the church. They placed the funeral shroud over the casket. I remember watching Norm as he took the time to make sure the shroud didn’t have any wrinkles and was on straight. (my dad and mom laughed) Norn then was driving the family limo to the cemetery. We were supposed to be directly behind the hearse. Well, somehow Norm made a wrong turn and we ended up being the last ones to the cemetery. This made my dad and mom laugh very hard on a very difficult day.

Norm…..Rest in Peace
