Dear Helen was a beloved friend of mine. She possessed all the lovely qualities a fine person could have. I enjoyed frequent visits with her, and missed her when I was away from Brunswick. If I had a daughter, I would have held Helen up as an example of a lady to emulate. She was always kind, polite and friendly, and didn't get flustered when things got busy. The candy store reflected her tasteful and artistic talents, and was a pretty pleasure to explore. It was an honor and a pleasure to have known her, and she will remain one of my very favorite people.

Helen was such a dear. From the early days of Tontine Fine Candy to later years at Wilbur's on Maine Street, she was everyone's favorite. Helen remembered her customers by name and asked after their families. It was a treat just to spend a few minute with her.

Helen will be sorely missed but I am grateful to have had her as a friend (and "Candy Lady"!)
Our deepest condolences to all her family.
