The best thing about Audrey's delicious pound cakes were that you could tell that they were made with love. What a beautiful person she was, inside and out. I am grateful to have known her and am sending love to Joe, Suey and Joanne, and all of her family and friends.

January 2, 2021 | Janet Shipp - Saint Augustine , Florida -- United States

Dear Joe, Joanne and Sue,
My sincere condolences on the recent loss of your mother.
Auntie Audrey and Uncle Brad were stationed in England with my parents, Bill and Kathy Marsh. We lived next door to each other outside of Eynsham, England. Our homes were attached to a larger estate, your parents rented the Cottage, we lived in the Studio next door. Our families shared many birthdays and other celebrations together. Joey, as he was known back in those days, was a regular playmate of our sister Judy. Your Uncle Gordon was a regular visitor.
Your parents came to Florida in the early 2000s, staying with my parents. I was fortunate to have them over for a visit and dinner, the four of them reminisced and laughed all evening. Shortly after that visit your mom sent us family photos/slides your dad had taken in the late 60s. Happy memories of your mom and dad remain with us, especially of your mom calling us “darling”. My mom always said she and Audrey were “mates”. All the best to you and your families. God bless you all.

Dear Joe,
We were very sad to learn of the departure of your beloved mother Audrey.
As we had been your Swiss "parents", we were very glad to meet your real mother when we visited you in Brunswick probably back in the eighties... We have a fond memory of her, remembering her as an extremely kind, lovable and lively lady!
We are with you, Joe, and your family, in these difficult times, and would like to give you a big hug!
Nous espérons pouvoir t'embrasser bientôt en vrai!
With love,
Claire et Ferdi (maman et papa)

I will surely miss this lovely woman. I first met Audrey not long after her husband passed away. I was working as the Animal Control Officer in Brunswick. She called me to her home to assist her with a groundhog problem. She gave me quite the chuckle when she told me that she thought that just maybe, her husband had come back in this groundhog. Apparently this groundhog had shown up just after Brad’s passing. We had a good laugh. She loved my German Shepherds, and wished that she could own one. Her cakes were simply the best. All my best to her family. You had a wonderful Mom!

My Beautiful Auntie Audrey,
You were an inspiration to all who knew you-a free spirit with such qualities so often hard to find-Loving, generous and kind and it was always so much fun to be around you. Although we lived so far apart the times you shared with us on your visits to your beloved Wales and England were precious and so eagerly anticipated by all of your family over here. Although your life's journey is now so sadly at it's end, my thoughts and memories of you will always be lovingly cherished.
Rest in peace now my beautiful Auntie Audrey

Audrey Bradbury was the most wonderful Welsh lady I have had the pleasure of knowing aside from my own mother who was also born in Wales England. Audrey and I had a special connection and she was so dear to my heart. I will miss her immensely as she told me wonderful stories of Wales and I shared with her my trip to England, the old country and how beautiful it was as I had never been there. Audrey brought such life to all the stories she shared and I am extremely grateful to have known her all the years she shopped at Shaws where I met her. She was always a delight to have come through my line(as I have been a cashier there for 24 years) and the kindest person to all who helped her with her shopping trips. She will be greatly missed by her family, and friends she met in her lifetime. God Bless you Audrey!!!!!😇 You are a true Angel!!

Sue and her Mom were so kind to my family. I have a sweet photo of Mrs. Bradbury with my son and it is hard to tell which one is smiling more brightly. May your happy memories be many.

December 9, 2020 | lJoan Miller - Marshfield, Maine -- USA

I extend my sympathy to Susie and all of the family for their loss. I met Audry only once, at Pastor Susie's ordination. She gave the appearance of being someone I would have liked to become a good friend. I could see that we shared many similar interests, like gardening and cooking. Peace be with all of you family members and friends.

December 9, 2020 | Marylyn Coffin - Harpswell, ME -- United States

Sweet Audrey and I met when we worked at Dr. Most's many years ago. We had both lived in Puerto Rico and had military lives (hers Air Force, mine Navy). We hit it off immediately and she and Brad were good friends. Such a funny gal with that sweet Welsh accent. If I ran into her at the store she would tell me everything that was going on, with many details, in a flurry of words, not missing anything and was a true delight. She always called you "darling" or "love" and she made you feel like her best friend. She will be truly missed but is reunited with her dear Brad and we look forward to seeing them again when we pass.

December 9, 2020 | Tonya Rouse-Mills - Manassas, VA -- USA

Joe, Joanne & Susan-
My deepest sympathies to each of you and your families on gaining an angel in your mother. It has been a blessing to have met and stayed friends with our families over 50 years. While I was the only Rouse to not have had to opportunity to play with you all in PR, I was excited to finally meet the loved Bradbury clan when we moved to Plattsburg. I hope our families keep in touch and our parent legacies continue for many years to come. Your families will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Audrey, my auntie and friend, had a wonderful sense of fun, deep loyalty and loved with all her heart. Her family was her joy as were her flowers - Lupins thriving and blowing in the breeze in Brunswick are a gift from Audrey. She was an amazing cook, baker, hostess, homemaker. Kind and thoughtful and had empathy and compassion, spirited and feisty - adored - a truly wonderful person, my dearest auntie Audrey whom I loved. Rest sweetly my dear - heaven is in for a treat! xxx

I knew her as Auntie Audrey and last saw her around 1966 when we moved from Bangor, ME to Wichita Falls, TX. I got in email contact with Auntie somehow after uncle Brad passed. I contacted her to console mom when my dad passed in 2006. They were very good friends in Maine and maintained contact thru the years. My condolences to Joey, Susan, Joanne and their families. Auntie was a sweet lady and beautiful person. May God Bless
