I love you and miss you. Wish I would have been able to be with y'all more. Please tell my grandfather and mother I love them.

June 20, 2014 | Mary Wade - Turner, ME -- USA

To all the family of Joann, I am so sorry for your loss. I only had the pleasure of knowing Joann for a short time as a Hospice Volunteer but really enjoyed her (and Rusty's)company. I also think of her whenever I eat a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup! Next one's for you Joann! You will be missed.

June 16, 2014 | Julie Ames - Poland, ME -- US

So sorry to hear of Joann's passing. I first met Joann when she enrolled Lorne in Pre-School. She was a devoted and proud mother who was very involved in Lorne's development. I will remember her fondly.

I am sorry you all lost Jo ann to breast cancer. I am aZ volunteer for the Dempsey C enter. In September they have a two day event honoring all the survivors, those left behind and all those who lost their battle with cancer. You can come there and honor Joanne. There are tables where you all can make a banner and hang it up on the fence with the other ones. KI hope you have the opportunity to go and see all of the great things this wonderful organization does.

Jo ANN RIP from a Dempsey C enter Volunt6eer.

Andy, Lorne, Rita, Jill, Dan and Danielle:

My heart goes out to all of you. I pray that as you mourn the passing of Joann, that you can find comfort in cherishing the great memories you have of her.

I know I'll never go without thinking of her when I bite into a Reeses' Peanut Butter Cup or when I make a ham sandwich with a ton of butter and just a smidgen of mustard (I thought I was the only person who ate it that way!). She was a "firecracker" and always lit up my day with her warped and crazy sense of humor! She was my "Yogi" and I was her "Boo-Boo". I know her love of life, her "take charge" personality and a little of her stubbornness allowed us to enjoy her in this life a little longer than we probably were supposed to and for that, I am so thankful. I feel blessed to have had her as a part of my life.

May God hold you close and give you the strength you need during this time. Please know that all of you are in my prayers.

Love,
Ann

I will miss Joann alot,
I've known Joann for a long time. Good times and bad. In the earlier years of her sickness she could be quite the joker. Her cards, gifts, funny tokens of affection. You all know what I mean!
I'll remember the chocolate fixes she used to have(always had to have nuts in it!)and I would show up with a candy bar just as she didn't have any more and was craving it. Also I will never forget when she wanted jam on a toast, she wanted very little jam on it (we called it "essence of jam")which meant no jam to me. These are the little things I will laugh about now when I think of her. She deserves to be remembered in a good way.
I will always remember how loving & caring she was to family & friends. She was a wonderful mother and wife, Lorne & Andy you have my deepest sympathy, remember the good times, thats what will get you through these hard times. Give Rusty & Sophie a big hug from me. (She loved them sooo much!)
To Rita, Jill,Dan and Dani my thoughts are with you also, remember her when she was happy and funny. I don't have to tell you the last few years have really bad for her.
Joann is in a better place now. She suffered way to long for someone so young.
Joann's with your dad & sister whom I'm sure are taking very good care of her. I'll never forget her!! May God Bless you all.
Your friend, Mary
