September 9, 2014 | Mark T. Beedy - Thief River Falls, MN -- USA

To the family of Richard Viles Beedy- I am very saddened to learn about Richard's death four years after it happened. We had exchanged Beedy family information for several years, and then I set aside my research to pursue other family research. My deepest sympathy to his family for their loss. I now wish that I had stayed in touch with him.

Hey Coach.. Man, did we have a blast playing Basketball for you! Remember Norris, Childs, Henderson, Rider and the rest of the guys from those years! You were a fun Coach and a Great Teacher! You taught us so much, Coach! I'll never look at a Basketball again without feeling love and appreciation toward you and your family. Thanks again Coach.

December 17, 2010 | Richard Pierce - Industry, Maine -- USA

My deepest condolences to the family of R.Vies Beedy. Dick was a mentor, teacher, brother and a friend to me. I was very fortunate to spend time with Dick on numerous occasions at camp on the North Branch. I caught my largest brook trout ever at Little Jim on a fly that he tied for me with him in the bow of my canoe after I had hooked him with a fly in his cheek. I'll never forget the way he reacted to that incident in such a kind and patient way.He was a great friend and one that shaped the man I am today.God Bless.

There are never any easy words. I carry very fond memories of Dick (and the rest of the family) from summers spent at Mt Blue. Although I havent seen him in years, time and distance have not made this less painful so I can only send my very best thoughts to his loved ones.
