Around 1988 Normand & I started working together on 3rd shift at Pioneer Plastics. From the beginning we became friends. I was very impressed with his knowledge and abilities of fixing any machinery that broke down all over the factory! I also was impressed with his attitude & patience in fixing them right the 1st time! We also worked on 1st shift in the press room from 1995 to 2006 and had many good times. In 1996 we played softball together on the Pioneer Plastics team for many years in the Auburn league. Norm was a great 2nd baseman and a very good hitter! His dad came to many games to cheer us on. Norm & the team were always glad to have him there. After many games, win or lose, our team with our wives or girlfriends ended up at Gipper's for more fun! When Normand came back to Pioneer in 2012, I was happy to have him back. We had more laughs and discussions. We texted each other frequently out of work, although Normand preferred to talk on the phone. So after texting a few messages, he would pick up his phone and call me! LOL At times, my wife Dodie would join the conversations which Normand liked as she always made him laugh. At the end of some conversations, he would end it with "you guys are like my 2nd set of parents and I love you both"! We know your dad is there at your side giving you the comfort you need. Rest in peace my good friend, Dodie & this "other" Normand love & miss you very much.
