I was so sorry to hear of Horace's passing. I knew Horace for many years while I was a teacher at Sabattus School. I always thought of Horace as a true Mainer-serious and hard working. I will never forget how he would come in to do his "rounds" after his bus run in the morning to make sure everything was running correctly with his trusty dog following closely behind him. That sure wouldn't be allowed nowadays! My sincere sympathy to his family and friends.

RIP Horace. As Selectmen you gave me my first opportunity to be a police officer for our community, not sure if I ever thank you for that. Again, RIP my friend.

Let me begin with, "thanks for the many years of service to the town of Sabattus." Horace was a pleasure to visit with as we would talk about the history of the good ole days while playing a hand or two of cribbage. Horace was a gentle man and well respected by his peers. He also had a good sense of humor and we enjoyed a good chuckle every now and then. Thanks for the memories. Respectfully, Art Poussard Jr
